In this, the Home Affordable Foreclosure Alternatives Program (HAFA), part of the Home Affordable Modification Program (HAMP), provides financial incentives and simplifies short sale procedures by creating time limits for lenders to respond to your Las Vegas short sale request, freeing, borrowers from their debt and capping claims of second and third mortgage holders.
With these NEW SHORT SALE GUIDELINES, you may be eligible to receive $3000 government incentive at closing for your relocation expenses. With HAFA, the lender(s) also must waive the right to pursue a deficiency judgment against you after closing. Also with HAFA, you will be able to stay in your Las Vegas home until it closes, at which point we will assist in finding a suitable rental.
If you have been denied for a Las Vegas loan modification through HAMP, or are unable to make your trial mortgage payments, a HAFA short sale may be an option that’s available to you.
